That Smile

There it is;
That smile,
How could one person,
One angelic soul have such a wonderfully simple little grin,
That could be so powerful?
Does it work for everybody, or just for me?
There it is again, she looked at me, she smiled,
At me!
Oh how it makes me feel,
So warm, so, , Wow,
So willing to take a chance, to be brave enough,
Bold enough,
To walk right up and ask her to do me a little favor,
And she smiled,
“Yeh, that’s all I needed,
I just wanted to see you smile! “
I have to make her mine,
I feel that smile on my lips, as they tenderly tell me:
“I love you”
I need her to be with me forever, I will not settle for anything less,
“What would you say if I asked you to marry me?”
And she smiled,
And told me she would say: “Yes”
Yes!?
I am the luckiest man alive, because she’ll be staying a while,
And, because of that smile.

The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked.

Some poems are complemented wonderfully by photographs or paintings... but this needs no embellishments for her smile and your love shine through every word. *S*

That is beautiful. I wish I could make more people smile. It's amazing what one little smile can do to someone's heart. Great job I love it
