tin roof tunes
and raindrop dance
drowned in the patter
of pulse pounding
heart-song

soul-strummed
to the ebb
and flow
of poetry
in cadence
with breath
held
in moments
of gasp
knowing that ecstasy
rides a thin line
and hugs the edge
of your curve
where shadow-flesh
yearns
and nerves crumble
in shivers
of revelry

Edder,

I like this so much.  It makes me long for the soft sound of rain on my roof and streams of drops sliding down my window.

I've a story about rain and a tin roof, and I'd tell it, but you already did!

It's great to read you again, Ed.

Heart-song... mine soared when I saw your name! *S* I was copying my favorite lines, but had the whole poem highlighted, so... *G*

I could say I wouldn't be so giddy if you posted more often... but when a poem's this beautiful, dignity is difficult. *G*

Superb write, my friend... saved into my library. *S*
