All of the senses that I am feeling
All of the visions deep in my eyes
These are the gifts the earth has bestowed me
Deep in the valleys, and high in the skies

I cannot write all the joy that is flowing
I cannot see to the depths of the well
But I have felt a comfort in knowing
My story is greater than what I can tell

No book of knowledge speaks of the passion
Nor can my love be contained on a page
There is no space that’s ample to harbor
Wisdom that’s gathered with time and with age

So let life itself be the source of my verses
Its eyes meeting mine, gazing strait in my face
Even with all the living behind me
Life still continues to put me in my place

Another great lesson to be learned from our dearest Lizzie today.  Life sure put me in my place today, right on my butt, on the hard ice.  You would think I'd learn I am not a teenager anymore wouldn't you?

Wonderful writing Elizabeth, as usual. So many people go through life with nearsightedness.  A true poet will see and delight in the miracles all around her.  Love Joyce

Well bless your sweet poetic soul, Lady Elizabeth the Poetess!

SAVED

I am so pleased that i happened upon this deeply meaningly piece of poetry!

Indeed, I DO "understand"!!! Hey, that must make me a poet too! lol

This is very special.

Love, a warm hug, and a broad smile,

Linda
