Confusion

In the arms of her father
She gathers no small comfort
Adding remedy to her hurt.

In departure from custom
Gentle words are delivered
With no thought but to still
The tempest of her misfortune

And in this rare moment of kindness
She is moved toward
The tenderest beginnings
Of conversion from pain

What better than this,
the loving comfort of a child's
father after a fall of any sort...

wisdom and love in this one.

Thank you.

It's a mini-masterpiece, and like the first blush of shocked pain subsided to the ache of early-on recovery, must be read at least twice to make any sense!
