This was about all of you, and how our poetry and the feelings and emotions they evoke touch far and wide. I think it is such a wonderful thing to be a part of that connection. I suppose I'm too emtional and care too much, the truth is it shouldn't even matter. I am also reminded of all the wonderful poet friends from years gone by that have gone their own way. I truly hope what we all have written ... has some positive effect somewhere in this ever-darkling, sad 'ol world! ... I've always strove to 'believe in' the 'power' of poetry ... What the dickens? Lori, I do not understand why you deleted your poem? ~ or why you are leaving. You are one of my absolute favourite poets ~ and people! ~ at pip! I am so blown away by this, that I am utterly speechless. Just know this, that you are special and you have a rare gift that is important for you to express and to share. Being the fine poet you are, can be somewhat of a double-edged sword. The sensitivity that makes you an excellent poet, can also make one feel vulnerable at times. I understand that. Sometimes I am too sensitive for my own good. Hopefully, when you have some time to rest and regroup, you will return to the pip family fold. Lori, you have my email~~ please keep in touch. Your friendship meant the world to me and I am always looking forward to reading you to know that you are well. Our visit was one of the highlights of my last 10 years and meeting you and your daughter was a special time for me. Love you and wish you or I didn't live on opposite coasts...I know we would have been the best of friends. M |

Oh Lori please come back, I leave this place all the time, sometimes for a year or more, and thats a good thing. As long as we don't forget the many friends we all have here. Go if you must, and learn, and experience, and then bring that back to share, and remember. Email me if you'd like. I belong to several other poetry sites, each wonderful in their own right just like here. Thats the thing about here, it was always that place where we could come back to, and say hello again. If you do comeback, I just hope I know when since I pretty much leave whenever the wind shifts. Just know, that you were always one of the big reasons I ever came back, along with a select few of very wonderful people here. Happy Valentines Day my dear friend. Whatever happens, thanks for always being there. I hope your life is filled with warm rays, and blue seas. I hope you stay in touch. Always, Richard |
