        deep celestial dream

Under the vast-eternal Milky way,
bare trees dance in clear-bright
  moonlit splendor
along a windswept mountain horizon.
On such a grand winter forest
  evening,
one may slip beyond all bonds
of the tumultuous hours
and ten thousand sorrows…
into a deep celestial dream.

Bruce,

I am ready for bed and I am taking this poem with me to my dreams.

Thank you, my friend.

Dear Bruce the Poet, this is truly a dreamy poem of the highest celestial order!

A fine writer, ye be! Love your work!

May you "slip beyond all bonds
of the tumultuous hours
and ten thousand sorrows" every night in 2010 ~ and beyond!

This is a poem that should be like a mantra you could say to yourself before you fall to sleep at night and what wonders may be dreamed after reciting it....thank you for the words that may lead to a doorway of discovery..

I revisted this as again as your opening title captivated me once more, pulling me into your wonderfully descriptive words, smiling in wonder. You capture the grandeur & scale so beautifully, you know one of those moments when you grin & feel the tears pricking the back of your eyes. Thank you for a wonderful poem & for sharing it with us.

We need that dream, occasionally
and banish all sorrows
to somewhere else
even for a while...

It's therapeutic.

Well done.
