Little crystal dove outside my window pane
you flutter your wings of glass
and set my heart burning

How fragile and tiny you are
quite impractical in your beauty
Yet amazing in your strength
As you soar and rise
trusting the wind
to hold you
and to set you free

An impossible crystal dove outside my window
decorating my cage
with your wildly fractured light
And your unbound imaginations

To me you are freedom
and you are hope
You are yearning and longing
My deepest wishes for what should be

Just a tiny crystal dream
fragile and impossible
Who trusts the wind to keep her
and fears not being dashed on the rocks

Who lets the light inside her
and is in turn made lovely
with beautiful chaotic colors

Exquisite crystal dove
alight on my window sill
and flutter your wings of glass

Fill my heart with bravery
and call me from this cage
To fly away
Up into the skies
where I too, can be like you

Beautiful and impractical
And impossibly free

I think it worked.  If your poetry
is an example, it did.
It's a beauty!
Enjoyed.

A beautifully rendered piece of work, MorningStar. To be as a beautiful, free bird is the desire of many of us, and you told of your desire perfectly.

Aenea, what a delight to see you back again!  You have been missed!  And with what delicate beauty yet powerful magnificence you alight back into Pip with the sunlit wings of your little bird friend!  I LLLLLLLLLLLLLLOVE "Impossibly Free."  While I love the poem just the way it is, I must comment that freedom is NOT impossible.  I too adore my freedom.  I lose it from time to time, but oh, how I celebrate it again and again when I regain it, as I have recently.  You go, girl!  Keep writing and keep posting.  Smiles.
