.

What wearily
Wonderful tunes
For your body
However available
Nobody wants any more

You tan on the beach
Carefully watch your weight
Still tell anyone not listening
How beautiful and sensual
Time in your company
So often was and would be now

The young and strong
Obliviously pass you by
The men in your life
Are just as content
With exchanges of wit
Coffee at lunch and at
No other hour

How shrill it seems
A Blue Jay’s cry
As the sun goes down

You sing in the dark
The lights turned off
By a hand not yours
