Sword

I am the steel and you are the bladesmith.
Yours are the fingers and hands that shape me to fight and war.
From your crucible, I was reborn as more than iron ore.
I am yours to design but I ask that you do so with my soul in mind.

I am the steel and you are the bladesmith.
With your hammer, tongs, heat, and quenching oil produce my form.
Temper and refine me so when I am released nothing can bind me.
Give me an edge that will not blunt or fold but leave the adversary cold.

I am the steel and you are the bladesmith.
Sharpen me with a grinding stone so when I slash I sing.
Choose for me a hilt that embraces me like the perfect lover who never lets go.
Find a sheath to carry me in its shelter when I am at pause.

I am the steel and you are the bladesmith
Create me not as a tool of peace but as an instrument of conflict.
Find me a warrior who knows how to lead me in deadly dance.
So when I am delivered unto them, I may say.

I am the Sword and you are the Master.

This reminds me of a mantra, or a prayer. I can see a blacksmith crafting a sword, and repeating this to himself; to keep in the forefront of his mind what he is creating. Very cool stuff.
