Fair to middlin' of nowhere

When an entity
becomes so powerful
that it's profit gluttony
and political persuasion
does indeed adversely
affect the
American People
It is called
unconstitutional
That particular
document
our Constitution
compiled of principals
of  specific design
by which the
PEOPLE
are
PROTECTED
not only by the government
but from it as well.

It isn't a wonder they
separate
Church and State
And raise red herring stinks
on an issue that only requires
neutrality
If you ask me
better bedfellows
I'd say
than
Big Business
jerking around
the economy
But then
they'd be legislating
morality
Frankly
in this our
litigious society
I'm quite amazed
there is no class action suit
on behalf of
us
challenging
the blatant power imbalance
Shouldn't be too hard
to set a little precedence
striking down
day to practices
of too powerful parties
in this our great Republic
that represents
money
not people
and proudly
defy
and abuse
the first amendment right
to openly declare
to take down
their own President
If we were truly
in a state of war
that would be treason
But world wide conflicts
are a loophole
that let that sort of thing
slide by
How quickly we forget
the people
actually voted
this one in
He was our win
Worry if you want
about Socialism
I'm worried about
what we call a Democracy
is capitalism

Well, you have had your say. That, too, is democracy.

That's why our country's founders said no to a democracy and yes to a republic.  Europe was over loaded with failed democracies.

This is one write that makes me wish I were better at speaking and putting my concerns down the way you did.

I don't see a democracy, but the glaring narcissism of dictatorship.  Democracy doesn't mean what it used to when I was young.  I bear witness to blindness and ignorance (sometimes my own lack of understanding about how this happens: the constitution blatantly ignored), and I agree that the bottom line is not about what the people want anymore, but a certain few.  I also admit that the lack of principle scares me, for the danger lies in the word that Ice recently used:  manunkind.
