A yearly update 'bout the state of business USA
A brand new year, the first day back, and folks I'm sad to say
Suppliers told to ship last week, shipped the wrong stuff again
While customers are overdue from checks they did not send
Employees still don't want to work (at least not one of two)
While government can't figure out just why I have so few
Forever optimistic folks, I've donned my rosy shades
'cause right here in the USA that's just how things are made

"I never blame myself when I'm not hitting. I just blame the bat and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn't my fault that I'm not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?

You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going, because you might not get there."

~Yogi Berra

He had a lot more smarts
than he thought.

(But remember it is the USA, and the best place on earth.... for now).

JL,
Thanks, I'm not quite sure I understand the analogy, if there was one, but enjoyed the quotes none the less. The new year dawns, and one has hopes, however brief, until reality kicks in that things are unlikely to change.

Michael,
Thanks, I really had to try to find the humor in this situation, as all to unfortunately, this was an accurate description of my first day back at the shop, which may have something to do with why I tend to self medicate, lol.

Well just trying to put a smile on your face using Yogi Berra's sayings.
Don't be so down.  Blame the suppliers and the one that doesn't want to work.  Yeah, if your waiting for the change to manifest itself, well it ain't.
But, this is still the very best place to be
with all the draw-backs.

In all things be thankful.

It doesn't take long at work to feel like you've never been away... the relaxed feeling from a vacation vanishes as soon as the same old same old greets  you. *S* I enjoyed this, Doc... and hope things get better!
