Don't leave me,

For then I will die, alone...

Hold me in your arms,

And don't let me go...

I'm wounded, I'm dying,

So please don't leave.

My heart, it's slowing,

My breath is heavy.

I'm dying in your arms,

And that's all that I know...

I've fought my way through life,

But now is my time...

You've been with me then,

So be with me now.
Your heartbeat is calming,

Your voice is soothing...

Don't leave me to be alone,

Keep me in your arms...

I'll close my eyes,

To take my finale breath.

Knowing only two things,

Before I died...

You didn't leave me,

So I died in your arms...

Fine writing...I suppose we all want to die in a loved ones arms, or at least have them near...James

Lovely.
I have always hoped that someone would take my old frail body and rock me to sleep as they did when I was a babe. Safe and warm and loved as I was then.
