see nightlife's neon glitter
flashing delightful promises
sun-influenced phenomenon
Las Vegas high rollers heat
betting on aces holds a deuce
what happens here stays here
so the sweet lies have been told
saccharine-sweet Lady Luck
plastic smiles green-back made
artificially sweet like the game
hot ladies fueled by a desert sun
as are the gaming machines inside
relieves you of all your money

Personally I stay away from the 'hot' ladies and the gaming machines...too much to lose either way...

Good piece

Haha~ You might stay away, jwesley, but there are enough fools who don't to make both a very profitable business. Thanks for stopping by.

Nice...anytime someone says they're going to Vegas I wonder how much they are taking, because it will end up in the bank of Vegas...James

I've never been to Las Vegas (or a casino); it's too blingy, flashy and erratic for this country mouse.  Your poem paints it clearly, and I'm perfectly happy seeing it through this than actually going there.

Hi Lori. It's a magical town. I've been there a few times, but I'm really not much of a gambler, Keno and the slots are about all I did. I went there mainly to see the shows.
