Santa's Christmas Cheer

Well now . . .
'Nog's the thing,  you see,
on Christmas Eve
when Santa stomps around the tree.
He'll definitely stop and shake your hand,
chuckle some and swig that brew,
then swear to you,
it was the best in all the land.
He'll rock right back,
he'll plop right down,
he'll laughingly say,
"how 'bout another… one or two."
His cheeks will glow,
rosy red like Rudolph's nose,
and then when Rudolph shouts
"it's time to go!",
he'll yell out loud,
"a lot You know!"
Now Santa's not a drinkin' man,
at least Mrs. Claus thinks that's so,
but having a 'Nog on Christmas morn,
certainly spreads a lot of cheer.
So sink some 'Nog in the old ice chest
and set it by the tree,
and when Santa comes,
give him some,
you'll both laugh in glee.
And on that day,
after the eve
when everyone else is having fun,
sleep away your emptiness,
laughing with Santa,
as you share another . . .
cheerful one.

You used your noggin' on this one, Jwesley!

I happen to agree. Nog is truly one of the wonders of the world...

I'm all for giving Santa his due and his nog, think I'll sit up and have one with the old buzzard.

So, Jimmy, you tempted Santa Claus into having a "nog" while in service, you bad boy you. Ok, maybe this specific Santa Claus was for grown up children. And then you made him cope better with the cold he had to face again after the visit!

Joyful! Merry Christmas, dear Jimmy!

There's a family recipe of the stuff, floating around here somewhere; and we make it once a year.  I couldn't help but smile reading this!  Merry Christmas to you

He only gets cookies at my place... but that sugar rush should be enough to get him to the next cup of nog! LOL

Enjoyed this very much!
