It's funny how some people
create their own reality
while others just stand
on the freeway of life,
like a deer in headlights,
and are hit by oncoming events.

Very profound and great metaphor, dear Ida. And what food for thought!

We must slow down to rediscover respect and love for each other, that's the true power that helps us to evolve into better humans and that makes us all stronger and better prepared to cope with whatever challenges life has in store for us.

Love,

I agree with this, Ida, and think of "the occupiers."

Ida, I have often thought the same thing, but not so poetically, nor philosophically, nor so succinctly.  Well done!

I didn't know that deer do that.  The poor frightened darlings.

Oh indeed, this is such an apt metaphor.  It's such a shame...these drive-by events.

It is something that shouldn't happen but does all the time.  I understand this oh too well.

Funny how I was just talking about passive agressive people today.  Wish I could laugh at them, but they are so destructive in how they deal with their emotions.

I like this lots, Ida.
