Gunslinger's jaw ached, grittin' bad
two cheaters; soon to be laid low
Elijah, snake-in-the-grass, and Love
easy to follow; sniff the wind; evil

Elijah, once a partner turned bandit
shot Millie, Gunslinger's horse dead
moon bright casting his shadow, lean
heart lay heavy with what was ahead

prairie wind whistled over the foothills
bending the tops of a moonlit boscage
wolf howled hunter's conquering pride
Gunslinger knew the feeling of the kill

he understood bloodlust dark red spilt
anger seethed within his bones; ante up
Elijah and Love in his face they did spit
cohort and lover their bones his to break

the mountains where the wolf; his target
desperado's hideout; Deadman's Gulch
valley of Cougars Pass they'll endure fate
three days walk; Gunslinger pushes hard

Yeah!
I think you are a screenwriter.
Just need the music to go along with the show.
Enjoying the western.

Jl, that is so funny. I have tried my hand at screenwriting, even have Final Draft on my computer, but the medium is too strange for an old novelist to comprehend. But thank you for the compliment.
