concentration on anything but her
is a big no
for, summoning me
is a woman I am quite taken with
beautiful, penetrating blue eyes
smile which seems to be directed at me only
so I
in my beguiled state
engage this heavenly creature
she exudes unto me much confidence
cocky kind of rebel confidence
like I used to have
back in tha day
gives me a special firmness in my feelings
I had lost
we have hasty tête-à-tête's
lots of laughter, a few giggles
and a give unto the other all we have

the poems I write are from my blood
a ripcord from my heart
straight into hers
for she is that distant shore
a roiling, undulating, quite fascinating
and playful oncoming tide
my confessions for her ears only
driven to her by choice and a promise
of love
it's as if they are the whisperings
from the mists of my inner being
my thoughts and feelings are like grains of sand
she has awakened them
they begin fresh each day
she is my Muse
opening doors I had closed
she is the key

if this isn't love, my friend
what is?

very good write, Jerry,
the scramble yet eloquen nature of the poem reflects the relationship. But tread carefully my friend. Rebels have a tendance to, well rebel. ;-) make sure its not against you

Well, since I am the rebel, I guess I had better keep a tight rein on myself, martiniat8. Thanks for stopping by.
