redhead said her name was Momma Jo
you'll need me, I'll run with you
clenched his teeth, swallowed the pieces
gave her a nod, a nearly grin, "I run alone"

Gunslinger saw TinHorn held in death
photo of Love, his blood ran mean
Love said you was good where it counts
redhead bent, took photo, ripped it into

when Gunslinger grinned it opened the door
they climbed up the stairs toward heaven
got down and dirty and wallowed in sin
stayed there all day, both wearing spurs

in the black of night he came down the stairs
redhead watched him with disheveled eyes
TinHorn hadn't been moved, Gunslinger spat
bent, picked up torn photo, looked at redhead

no one watched Gunslinger leaving the slime
soon to became as one with the night
redhead mouthed an ear-splitting screech
He's a Cajun man with plenty of lagniappe*

Hah! Seems you're the only one that thinks so, even so, that enough. Thanks for being here, Lori.

Ooops! There you are, JL. The reason I said Lori was the only pone is that the poem has been up since last night. I realize it is much too gritty for most folks, but Gunslinger is a gritty kinda guy. Thanks again, JL for being here.
