In and among, a midst the chaos
dirty and cold, near 2 below
heartbreak, disappointment and hurt
the heart clings springs back

grabbing, grasping
at anyone, anything
looking forward...

looking forward
while reaching back
must look forward to something

in these hazy grey dimly lit days
of winter

Holidays fastly quickly rapidly approach
stay busy
stop to right

look forward
contact contact contact
find friends, talk to friends...
find and... write

wait.

Wait wait wait.
See what develops

love and heartache pass to fade
with occasionally... memory flash
clutch/slip of the heart

"look up, look up"
to the tree
the glowing lights
"make a memory"

a sparkle, a man
in a crowd of 100,000 hands

waiting, saving, spending
finding joy
in the light
of Christmas

Through the shadows, comes the light, once again of the season of now.
I enjoyed the delivery

Great rhythm in this poem. All the glittering aspect of Christmas hides so many situations of lonely hearts. It is - though - the celebration of love par excellence and that brings along so much pain when love is not felt ... but as you say so well, by seeking contact, we also have something to give ... there is hope in your words.

You wrote yourself happy thoughts in the end of this dreary, but eventually happy poem, martiniat8. I am on that course as we speak, trying to get the Christmas spirit I lost many years back. Thank you for showing me the way.

For some reason this poem reminds me of what ee cummings might think, and say while shopping on black friday in New York City.

Very good poem my friend, I enjoyed reading it.
