Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

When I was a little girl, I’d write
“Roses are red. Violets are blue.”
And draw hearts (and flowers)
To show how much I really
Really love you.

Now I am older
And I still love you
As much as when I drew flowers
And wrote little rhymes
On your birthday cards
Way back then

You are one of my best friends
And through thick and thin
Good times and bad times
Our shared up’s and down’s

I will always love you

                  Dear Mom

                  Roses are red
                  Violets are blue
                  No hearts & flowers
                  Can truly show
                  How much I love you

So with love for today
And all of our shared
Tomorrows

Happy Birthday

Love
Ali

This is nice . . .

Alison,
Nicely done. Nothing tops a mother's love, unless it's her daughter's love back.

I can relate to birthdays and this wonderful gift of yours, my friend.  Nothing means more to a parent on their birthday than the love of their child.

And you expressed it so well.

She has to be quite a woman. I can tell that just by looking at you...

Happy birthday!

Thank you all.  I made my Mom's card this year and felt like a little kid all over again.  I guess I am always her little kid.  I had this poem in the card.  I think it's on her refridgerator door now.  My Mom is a very special, beautiful lady.

Love her to pieces.

Love you all too.
