loneliness is a disease
if not they need to look into it
take out a grant
study it
people are lonely for many different reasons
it's a self-image killer
loneliness can be so severe
you can actually become ill from it
you can be lonely in a city of nine million people
I was once
walked the streets
not meeting anyone's eyes
head down
just kept walking
into infinity and an uncaring world
least that's what I thought
it was the disease of loneliness
made me think that way
how do you catch this loneliness disease?
is there a vaccination for it?
loneliness comes in many forms
obese people can reach out to loneliness
thinking they can find sympathy
those of us whose beauty
resides within
can catch the disease loneliness out of frustration
or, you catch it when those around you
take you for granted
and expect you to act in certain ways
that you'd rather not
you'd rather be your own self
not someone's clone
there's no vaccination
but there is a cure for loneliness
it's called
reaching out to those who
think the same kind of thoughts you do
a kindred spirit
someone to understand
and not expect you to be anyone but who you are
loneliness is a disease
it can destroy you

Lonely people live shorter lives. Loneliness kills.  You have hit the lonely nail on the head my friend.  Bless your heart.

the deepest felt lonliness is yes, in that sea of a million of faces, when we only see
our own
this cuts deep
at a happy holiday time, even moreso
