there are times for tears
time for laughter
Emotions 'R Us of the human race
it's the manner we personally deal with emotions
that makes all the difference
in the world
do we go at it
with laughter and happiness
and go with the flow
feeling . . . er . . .groovy man
its gonna last forever
so happy, smiles, grins and laughter
make up your day
thatsa nice
never last though
does it?
we think it will, but it fades away
after awhile
can't quite put your finger on it
sometimes the happiness goes away from you
like a supersonic jet
scorching you with its engine burst
either way
the reason you're not laughing eludes you
you walk around town
head cast down
frowning in a crowd of laughing people
miserable, but you know a secret
their day will come
you know that's a fact
so you bide your time in this, your
somber period of life
still not quite able to understand why the blues
remained camped out on your doorstep for so very long
still . . .
as with the good times and laughter
the blues fades
into yesterday and something
or someone
gives you reason
to smile; even grin
soon the laughter returns
you laugh at the silliest things
why? because someone has made it possible
someone so wonderful
someone who likes you for who you are
what you are; what you were
ahhh . . .
the world is once again a beautiful place
you're so happy you can't understand
why all the glum faces around you

Apparently all things are relative my friend. When my heart is happy I don't question why, I just go with the flow and be glad that I am I.  Good morning Jerry!

you're so happy you can't understand
why all the glum faces around you

I usually end up writing from the other side of the window... but I enjoyed this and hope your happiness sticks around!

I hope so also, suthern, and while I'm hoping, I hope you find the other side of the glass soon . . .
