Country's Scape

Wee dawn hour’s chill held
Dun colored fields were so graced
With crystalline lace

Jack displayed his gifts of frost
Deer parade against the shine

Beautifully rendered, Sunshine. It even felt pumpkin weather here this morning on my walk with Zoe. The air was clear and clean smelling and a stiff breeze. We may get some frost on the pumpkin before Thanksgiving after all. It's been in the mid-eighties here for weeks.

Karilea, you do this so well, painting a picture perfect view through your poetry.
Brings a smile and such a good feeling.
Excellent write.

I miss living in Tehachapi, where jack visited quite often, and the deer were not too shy to come right up to your house.  Thanks for the rekindling of memory, K.

Karilea, thank you for that picture. I haven't seen it in such a long time. Lovely.

I saw exactly this yesterday morning here!
But then my dog chased after the deer.

Wonderful, as always, my friend.  Especially liked the phrase ..."With crystalline lace".

I love to read and write Tanka..
I love this seasonal Tanka

The first three lines make a great Haiku.
