I can wish upon the stars
to make the tears subside
Or dare I ask the sun
to follow you and lift you up
The sorrow inside may never leave
yet soften I hope over time
For time is but a thing
a moment we pass through
We breathe, hearts beat
and we pray for a certain peace
sustaining this life we keep
with the thoughts of love
In the end it is love we hold
the moments we have kissed
the times we have hugged
the I love yous we mean
When the days are done
we shall meet again in peace
holding hands in the light
Sharing the brightness of the stars

Beautifully done. I'm in great admiration (that's awe to most) of this kind of precise poetry and its message.

This is so sad.  I read the story about Michael Falvo in the Mt Shasta News.  You have truly paid a beautiful tribute.

Michael,

Children never walk alone,
and sometimes children can be
of any given age...I can only hope
that the drive that gave this child
the gift to walk a dangerous slope
at this time of year was because
he believed in a gift beyond his
years.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts...
sometimes I miss my home state so
much, and this is one of those
times.

Love, K
