SOLUTION 13 November 2011 When there are too many voices and opinions and too much noise and stress and too many commitments, dilemmas and required decisions and requests for help and panic and anxiety threaten loudly and demandingly, and there appears not to be time to philosophise, rationalise and strategise, I take a moment, usually with my son’s help, to listen to the voice of wisdom that God whispers to me, often through my son, and He gives me peace, understanding and direction and oh, how that smiles my soul. What a lovely response, Margherita! I do SO enjoy your responses to my poetry, and yours and that of other poets. You put such a lot of care, understanding and time into them, even the short ones. I know everyone else enjoys them too. Thank you for your kind words. I am glad I smile your soul. You smile mine too. You are right that we should listen to that divine voice. It always has the answers, so, besides being right and good to do, it is so rewarding, that it makes no sense to me not to. Despite that, you are right that we mostly don’t allow it to surface. In my personal experience, I find that panic is what usually prevents me from doing so – but then I do it instinctively – by phoning my son, who either has the solution to whatever the problem is, or he puts me on track to find it. Many times, I don’t realise that it is God working through him until afterwards, but I plan to see it sooner from now on. Owl |
