There comes a time in all our lives
to ponder bigger things.
Would anything come to an end
if you know who don't sing?

When, "Time flies like an arrow"
but fruit flies prefer fruit,
who done let all the fruitcakes out
the Piptalk institute?

Tough questions someone has to ask
in these most trying times,
with better odds of gleaning facts
from talking to street mimes.

Regardless if you walked to school
or if you brought your lunch
do not trust in reality,
it's a collective hunch.

The street mime, he had a lot to say,
his hands pointed "up" "look above," "pray"
he made me understand in a most simple way
that even most a'stuter's are far above the fray.

Seems the 'stuters ask the stuff
that makes most sense when times are tough
making it winsome to begin to wonder
if'n times are really to come asunder

I'll take a 'stuter any old day
when it comes to making sense in their own way
and when it comes to asking questions of a mime?
I'll take and share my lunch to pay for his time.

[you clever man you!]

Sunshine,
Thanks for the well crafted poetic reply, sure brought back some memories, I think, lol.
Doc

JL,
Lol, nope wasn't me I swear. I'm thinking it was more like Munda( who hasn't been around for quite some time that I'm aware of). When she designed "The 'stute"
website, she must have left a door unlocked somewhere, lol.

Keys, keys... who's got the keys
To your question, answer please
Who released the 'stuters
Like a viral 'puter disease?

Well I'll never tell by who was done
Who cut loose the Moose from his loony fun
Especially on a day when binary code
Void of negative lode, shows none but one

Nope, it's way too positive a charge
Full of static therapy discharge
So I'll skip your jumper cable query
And let you ponder the answer at large

Goody, goody, goody
I'm clapping hands with glee
The 'stute doors are open
What fun it's gonna be!
There! Great Scott, it's Andrew!!
I thought he'd disappeared!
(Can it be much longer
'fore the Justins are here?)
It's time for giving thanks
For the insanity
The 'stute doors are open
What fun it's gonna be!

Ahhhh,
The door left open
That explains the draft
But if the ‘lectric bill
You say I pay
Than you must be daft

For aside from lack of funds
It’s been much too long
These halls where loons run
That they’ve heard my wax-on song

But I’m willing to sing
And color a few more walls
So bring forth the painters
And sound the Justin calls

Yep, I’m game
But not in a turkey kind of way
If the bill I must flip
Then from this coop I shall stray

Welcome to "Ocean View"

At times when minds go wandering
preponderence of pondering
a pattern may emerge it seems
which might include the stuff of dreams

Such was a time, now long ago
that door has closed, now open though
a window to another plane
where fantasies as yet remain

uncharted, shall we travel there
in search of new adventures where
imagination makes its rounds
I'll gladly show you 'bout the grounds

of this, our new facility
with more room for insanity
where gentle island breezes blow
through Ocean View from each window

I hope you will enjoy your stay
we welcome all who come this way
I see we have our first three guests
who're quite disturbed and need some rest

Welcome...

Rest, you say? That cannot be!
I'm busy cooking the turkey!
Andrew insists he will not pay -
(Diners don't want us anyway!)
As for dessert, don't be surprised
If there are some crayola pies!
Though nasty, icky cakes of fruit
Remain the motto of the 'stute
Being creative never hurts
We'll have more colorful desserts!

At Ocean View the rising tide
attracts odd fish from far and wide
We're kinda like a private school
that's open to most any fool

Should you decide to join our cast
Step up and just erase your past
persona vendors are on call
and no, one size does not fit all

Try on a "you" that's up to date
the future calls, don't hesitate
your chance to be a different you
awaits you here at Ocean View!

Take me, I'm an amnesiac
off kilter, slightly out of whack
Though you may think we've met before
'tis deja vu, and nothing more

"past" is a foreign concept here
it's towards the future that we steer
I only know that here I cook
Thanksgiving dinner , so let's book

your reservations pretty soon
you whack job bunch of looney toons!
Mona and Jonah persona vendors
you'd best cut short your extended bender!

Why Doc,
What a lovely pair of coco nuts
You have hanging from yonder palm
Such a view from any window
Is sure to keep this ‘stute calm

But I think it might be wise
If one does not want
To secure your floppy gown
So as to not flaunt

Now Suthern’s offerin’ pies
A turkey dinner dessert fit for Crayon King
Forget that icky fruit filling
It’s hot paraffin that makes this royal sing

Here, now let me stir that pot
A prodigious cook I’m known to be
Cooked up some fine goo-stew
For Justin Clan, Red, and Nurse C

Speaking of such,
If there is to be a feast fed
Doc, you better send out the word
And get them released from Club Med.

"Drew" calls me "Doc" but "Doc" is gone
the time has come to just move on
You'll find no Docter Moose in here
forgive me while I grab a beer.

Those days were fun, but in the past
one can't go back, and so at last
If you would travel here with me
just reset your reality.

Check the persona vendors out
to find out what it's all about
We go from what was once, to now.
They hold the key to show you how.

Hmmm. Ol’ Doc’s not Doc
Says he suffers from memory lock
And I’ve gotta find some vender
To go on a personality bender

For if this song I choose to sing
No longer me, the King East Wing
Abdicate I must the crown
My crayons too must lay down

To stay on Fantasy Island
To walk amongst surf and sand
Like those on the TV show Lost
A persona reboot’s the cost

Well never let it be said
A swift crack to the head
Wasn’t the cure for what ails ya
So hand me that coconut, fella

Crowned tats
I’ve already worn that hat

Crack!
Don’t screw at
Well, defeats the purpose that

Bing!
Bang!
Bonk!

Rotten dawcs
Stated crown
Rat sect down

Well, damn
No matter how hard I whack
This coconut won’t rearrange
My persona sound track

Perhaps I better switch to rock

That coconut took quite a toll
But with a rock, he has some roll
A jelly roll would be just right
To go with crayon pies tonight!

To be not me? I'm so confused
Did anyone see my loose screws?
Perhaps I baked them in the pie...
No... that was someone else - not I !!!

O.K., Mona and Jonah's here
this Andrew Scott needs help we fear
he's beatin' head with coconuts
c'mon now Drew, don't be a putz

Just take your head one sideways step
into your new persona, schlep
and slide into a brand new you
we see you down on Blue Bayou

An' suthern gal, we got you too
we's thinkin' 'bout them missin' screws
An' how some look like little Toes
an' LhgJhnAng, good lord who knows

Persona! focus Mona please
we's got to help this gal out, geez
she just can't hang and be herself
pull somethin' down of'n that shelf

That's it! Ol' Cookie needs a hand
in his imaginary land
where he'll be cookin' up the bird
she's Sarah Lee, desert gal , word!

Thanksgiving countdown has begun
so much remains yet to be done
Desert's been delegated see
to none other than Sarah Lee

But I must still prepare a feast
not seen before by man nor beast
There will be nothing left to chance
all food's genetically enhanced

One bird was spliced at Dollywood
'nuff white meat for the neighborhood
The other was arachnid crossed
eight legs take time just to defrost

Our bayou guest should soon be here
with Cajun food and lots of beer
Thanksgiving day should be gut-bustin'
Now where the heck is Justice Gustin'?

Dessert (menu is subject to change without notice and/or disappear completely)

An array of crayola pies
Will be truly a feast for eyes
And there'll be the tastiest cake
That a box of Play-Doh can make

We'll also have a jelly roll
And jello quaking in a bowl
As if it had just seen Nurse C
*shudder*
(Where can that libation be?)

Of course, our feast just cannot be
Without cookies for our cookie
I mixed all yesterday's oatmeal
With just a bit of lemon peel!

With pies, cakes, cookies and jello
The 'stute is the best place to go
For dinner on the holiday -
No worries about gaining weight!

Sincerely,
Sarah Lee

Sarah Lee is oh so sweet
But the P. Dough-boy has
Got her beat.

He giggles and smiles
And runs circles around her taste
And everyone knows
The kids love him
Bakin’ up their sweets.

When you’re kneading
Up you dough and Sarah Lee
Is still in the box
When you’re tryin’ your best
to beat that ol’ hunger-clock
you gotta have P. Dough Boy
or he’ll knock you out of your socks.

P. Dough Boy has just joined in group
for therapy with side of soup
If you poke him at every meal
he laughs and lets out quite a squeal

Ol' P. don't rap like no Pitbull
but he'll give you a belly full
of giggles that'll make you giddy
word up, like he's the Dough P. Diddy

N' far as dopey ditties go
we're fixin' to cook up a show
Where are you Justice Gustin', dude,
don't make me elevate your mood.

Yo, Yo, Yo, here we got the great Dough master P.
he be bakin' it down with our gal Sarah Lee
for our Thanksgivin' feast here at ol' Ocean view
layin' down whitebread rap no limp biscuits for you

But my Cajun food's late, Justice Gustin, m'man
good food takes time to prep, and according to plan
I'd have thought you'd have made an appearance by now
with a truckload of beer and abundance of chow

Cut the rap an' we'll put on some ol' delta blues
Acadie comin' up from the soles of your shoes
'cuz if I know my friend Justice Gustin' at all
he just cannot resist havin' fun now, y'all

Meanwhile, at the persona vendors...

Oh Jonah, won't you be a dear
we have a new persona here
this one we should fill right away
to help our guests enjoy their stay

The dining hall is oh so drab
we need to spruce it up a dab
could you give Martha S. a yell
I love what she did with her cell

Those inside tips financed this place
before she took her fall from grace
so do a favor for your sis
I think you know what you must kiss

An update from Thanksgiving central...

With preparations underway
Thanksgiving day might be okay
but, there are still a few loose ends
success or failure all depends

on Justice Gustin's beer and food
his darn psychotic interludes
appear to have beem getting worse
if he don't show up soon, I'll curse!

We've yet to hear from Martha S.
the dining hall's a total mess
the kitchen staff are mostly drunk
libation, huh, who whoud've thunk?

Can Cookie pull this all together?
I guess that all depends on whether
you, dear readers want to know
or, you know who should end this show

Aw, heck, I still have got to see
how this pans out, it's sure to be
still worth a couple chuckles, 'sides,
I'm pretty sure I'm certified

We're gonna throw our own parade
with marching bands and stun grenades
where total chaos will ensue
dear readers and it's all for you.

My way of saying thank you folks
that part at least is still no joke

Latest update from Thanksgiving central...

Thanksgiving's dawned at Ocean View
where crews have worked the whole night through
transforming one drab dining hall
into a grand buffet for all

Ol' Cookie's not in such a funk
since Justice Gustin late, and drunk,
showed up with beer and cajun eats
but chose to remain silent, sweet.

Martha S. ain't talkin' neither
said she had to take a breather
after stylin' up the hall
I'm glad that Jonah made that call

As promised there'll be a parade
with floats, and bands, and stun grenades
as well as our Thanksgiving feast
make sure to try some oyster/beast

'til later folks, enjoy your stay
& have a great Thanksgiving day
