Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2011-11-09 11:58 AM

Got up much too early
My body not caring
About saving daylight
Or sleep
A long hot shower
With all the water to myself
Shampooing and shaving
In taking my sweet time
Slow motion suds
Drying off and
Pouring another hot one
I check the clock
And it is still before five
I settle in front of the laptop
To see what’s new in blue
And maybe answer an email or two
Fifteen minutes later I’m through
And wondering what to do
I give up and go back to laydown
With my thoughts of you
And wait for the six a.m. alarm
To wake my world

Sounds like you have things on your mind, but then sometimes our bodies just dictate to us what it wants to do. Seems you had pleasant thoughts anyway.

I'm better off getting up when I wake up naturaly than I am going back to sleep and having the alarm wake me mid sleep cycle and I'm groggy for hours.  I woke with happy thoughts, no worries.

When I have mornings like this, it's usually the weekend... I think my body is allergic to waking up for work! LOL

I have had such days... I always end up with a bad case of the yawns by the end of my workday when I do.  At least you had the sense to go back to bed.
