I watched your dance
of deception, as you
were almost, but not quite
ready to depart

fixed upon your lanky
frame, I watched you dangle
as my suspence went on

and then you were freed
by the breeze
of the clouds

I never pledged my eyes
to any, other than you

but somehow you were gone.

Isn't that the way it always works, EmmaRose? No matter how hard you try, the good ones get lost in the shuffle.

The simple beauty is breathtaking, and your sentiments tug hard at my heart strings.

It amazing how something you have your eyes fixed on can somehow just slip away... leave you wondering if it was ever really there to begin with.

Nice ponderings.

And the bafflement remains... This is lovely!!

EmmaRose... I like these lines:

"and then you were freed
by the breeze
of the clouds"

Lovely expression here...
