Forgive my intrustion
as you lament your
fresh fallen, already
come down

but you were regal
in burgundy, though none
made their way to
the burgeoning ground

So I offer apology
as I couldn't resist
but to pick from your
plentitude, this
spectacular charm

Is that burgundy of the cheap California kind? Heehee

Intrusions are only intruderble if the lament is public, otherwise they are private and nay shall ye gather . . .

I liked this interesting fall piece . . .

Intriguing write.  Love the "forgive me for interrupting your wallowing" aspect.

Well done.

Maybe it was not at all perceived as intrusion, but as a gift, dear EmmaRose.

Your words are full of charm too.

Excellent...love the poem.
The craft of the world is shown in its details...one leaf among uncountables,
And yet the one is precious and poem worthy.

Not only do I share your joy
of picking up leaves,
but I also find feathers
quite inviting...

Thank you, Emma!

A charming fall poem! Delightful in its respectfulness for our arboreal friends during their time of waning glory.
