PILLAR OF SALT
4 November 2011

The taste of your honeyed whispers
lingers lost on my tongue
like summer breezes
in winter
remembering.

The title induces me to think of tears ... but in your words there is the world of love that lingers.

Beautiful in its sweet melancholy, dear Owl!

Love,
Margherita

You have understood and felt my poem's heart very well with your kindness and compassion, Margherita.  Thank you.  I like what you thought about the title, although it refers to Lot's wife in the Bible.  When she looked back, she turned into a pillar of salt.
