Perhaps, you don't see me as worthwhile
as sufficient
or significant

Because I'm just simple
      Simply lovely

Perhaps, I've not been what was valued
what was expected
or appreciated

Because I'm so simple
      Simply honest

Perhaps, I'm not the favorite
the favored
or the desire

Because I'm merely simple
      Simply exquisite

But, perhaps...
in world full of twists
and full of turns,

Perhaps, in a world full of smoke
and of mirrors

The loveliest,
the most honest,
the most exquisite thing there is

    Is simplicity

Gotta love it, and I most certainly do, MorningStar. If more people understood that this world would be a much better place and there would no no need for lawyers.

They will come back, come back again,
As long as the red earth rolls.
He never wasted a leaf or a tree,
Do you think he would squander souls?

Aenea, as always, you have hit the nail on the head - no, let me reword that - you've gently, but effectively, helped the sunflower turn to the sun!

I love your poetry - its wisdom, beauty, clarity, strength and power (strength and power, not being the same thing)!
