Halloween is upon us
Another spooky midnight hour
With the latest Follywood stars
Caesar's ghost and Liberace's piano
Will walk the streets and
Back alleys and places unheard of
Some with blood dripping
From severed heads
Little Bo Peep
And her Working Girls
Giving discounts and delights
The night goes still
In the witching hour
Screams and titters, guffaws
As All Hallows greets the undead
Oh, look! Tiny Tim and his uke
And Miss Vickie
Scary in real life
But just look at them now
Ghouls, werewolf's and vampires
Some which live right next door
And you never knew
Well, you thought you did
But who are you to expose their awful deeds
Keep quiet and no one will find out about you
Standing on the porch
Greeting the dreads and the dread-not's
Night is black
Strong wind a-blowing
Sending chills up and down your all-together
You flinch
Knowing full well that in time
Unpleasant words will be blown in your ear
Sent by a frigid winter's squall
But tonight is your night
You can be yourself and not be afraid
Someone will call the Freak Patrol

Yes. That's what I am saying, Lori. Naughty-on . . .

Once upon a time ago, I hosted an annual halloween party... but after being driven from my own home by someone who thought I really wouldn't mind him bringing a boa constrictor as his date (in spite of knowing I'm terrified of snakes!!!), I've enjoyed much quieter evenings. LOL I don't even get any trick-or-treaters... my stairs are too steep to be worth a Snickers, I suppose. I'll probably end up watching a sappy movie... unafraid to be my wimpy self. LOL

You should have called the cops on the idiot who brought that damn monster to your party, suthern. My late wife and I quit handing out candy quite a few years ago when teenagers began knocking on the door and looking like they were ready to burn the house down if we didn't give them candy. Teenagers!
