Russet sprinkled gold wings shining
orange reds running brown
yearning future's flight foretold,
dew frost heavy
freedom's lurch,
slipping from familiar perch
on cool breeze riding glory's Fall,
short trip to landing strip of children's path,
parading urchins
clowns and monsters all
giggling in sugared glee,
staggering to sweet filled sleep;
wet street winds
keep memories' moving
dance of mimes to entertain
shades of ancients strolling.

Oh you do cast a wonderful spell and capture the Autumn winds and memories of the magic of Halloween so well.

Such a pleasure to read and remember~

Thank you all for your time and kind thoughts.

Yes Martie, snow...big wet heavy snow.  Now all melting, but many without power.

Little munchkins sloshing, and begging for treats.  Enjoyed your write!!

Yes, This is the halloween I love. Now, if the powers that be will just leave it alone.

Your poem is a wonderful way to participate in this celebration, dear Charly.

Much enjoyed this.
