Mirrored Reflection’s
By Paul Wilson

I haven’t written in quiet a while, so if this is confusing to you,Let me tell you it confuses me also.
At least I am trying to energize my brain into thinking it can write again.

So…you think you know me
When I don’t even know myself
The illusion you perceive
Is only a reflection of someone
Buried within the tomb of your mind

Bits and pieces fit together just right
While others like my mind is distorted
Piercing light from somewhere
Captures my attention
As I try to comprehend why

Music from my past echo’s
Thru corridor of my mind
Familiar faces all around
Clouds of smoke engulf my being
I travel back to nineteen sixty nine

I am you…you are me
Together we are no one
Nothing connects us to each other
But yet we are one
And always will be

So here we are at the end of time
Older and wiser our peers say
It’s just an illusion created by me
Smoke filled mirrors are what you see
Cause I will never reveal the real me

Paul, it is sad that you will never reveal the real you.  There is such joy in feeling the freedom to do so.  Smiles.

Oh, I think you have revealed much more than you ever imagined.

I can really identify with these lines... I don't feel wiser at all and won't dmit to feeling older... and I know I'm the only one fooled by the illusion. *S*

Nice write Paul.  You do show your wisdom in this write, as you do always and I bet without realizing as much.

We do get older, and some get wiser, but we all have a commonality, we learn who we are not and keep that to ourselves.

Always enjoy your writings.

It's hard to reveal the real you when you are not even sure who the real you is.  True, we identify ourselves with certain times... certain places, but somehow that doesn't quell the yearning to really know.  I can truly empathize with you on this one Paul.  I'm glad you picked up the pen again.
