Happy Rebirthday

The light tumbled
over your hair like
glittering vines
as it caressed your tresses
through a breach,
in the trees.

A glint of light resting
on your eyelids
for a moment
as your mouth lay covered
by a cocoon of goose down
acting as a bed roll sewn up
into a sack.

It was your idea for the overnighter
under the signs,
of our future

You said you wanted to show me
our horoscope
and how my lion has been chasing
your virginity
long before light
was a child and life,
was a dream

I knelt on one knee as my lips
unveiled
the frost of your breath
stealing the gasp of a night fancy dancing
behind the eyes of your loins
as wisps of whispers
escaped from our mouths
and twisted the doorknob of fate
nocturnal,
shooting stars bursting ablaze
in your atmosphere
piercing the still
into the dawn,
of your creation.

Lay with me supine
within this
early morning
zenith.

The new day is starting her stove
o’er the horizon
soon we’ll be baking
with our sunny sides,
up
laughing and
loving,
and burning
what we once
thought,
was lost.

The problem was thinking
that we’re only,
born once.

The world
will always be,
our presence.

Sometimes,
we were just too
afraid,
to open it.

haha Ruthy.. I've got a feeling, all, of your camping trips involve heat melting sweetness onto soft white pillows stuffed between your scrumptious cookies..
