World in a Bottle

Perhaps like bottles erstwhile,
bobbing within ebbing tides,
we once again find ourselves
kept apart from seasoned glass enclosed.

Messages from a time anon,
faded to genteel obscurity
by scorching lazy-eye scrutiny,
crumble slowly from the lulling ebb to flow.
