She cried like the slow dance that never ends

There it was
beneath the carnage
she spread her legs open
as if to say she was broken

Her whimpers turned to shrieks
for her tears became obsolete

She cried for her mother to hear
for her father to steer clear
but it was her brother that came when her tears finally cleared

Her brother
the curls of the river
eyes of her soul
With her on the bottomless floor
until she stood on her two feet
his arm wrapped around his sisters side

Tomer, whether you were the brother or not, I am glad that her brother was there for her.

Owl, so am I.  We all need someone to help us out in the worst of times.

Cheers
