Denial

On earth, what select time
should you spend to contemplate,
or, comprehend others?

And yet, what time is best spent,
in your mind’s outer spaces?

Mars, Venus, Jupiter,
or any planet’s moon, your friend?

Is your grace needed in those places?

And if you were to visit outer spaces,
could you possibly stay for awhile?

Maybe for as long as it takes,
for you to get over, your own contentious
Puppy denial…

So feed me already!

Hmmm I have seen that kind of look on my wifes face when I have done something stupid...

JL, this poem could easily stand alone... well, maybe without the "feed me" line, and powerfully at that. The twist that last line and the pic put on it was phenomenal. Thank you for a much need laugh this morning.
