Where is he taking us, for what reason,
The days are quite hot the nights are cold,
I fear my husband has gone quite insane,
This is not a good time or the season.
I love my husband, but he is my bane,
Behind the camels we have trekked so far,
Nothing to see but sand dunes and one star,
But he plods on, says we must find true spot.
When he gets that look there’s nothing to do,
Still I think he has long ago forgot,
He says God leads us and he's a good Jew,
Though he is acting like one of the czars.

Abraham builds his altar, makes it nice;
Leads Isaac off, he says for sacrifice.

Well, not sure what prompted this but ... interesting, and have to wonder if it was sparked by your Maudlin mood of yesterday, or your waning years??? (I think we all get Maudlin in the reality of counting down, whether we allow others to see it or not)

Regardless, enjoyed the read of you ... as usual.

No, I don't think my maudlin mood of yesterday had anything to do with this. The idea just struck me about how Abraham's wife would deal and think, about the attempted sacrifice of their sin Issac. I think I could have made it a bit longer, fleshed out some major thought she might be having, but decided to keep it short and concise. Thanks, jwesley.
