I lay in bed so quiet,
          A dream pestered my awake.
Of course it was of her,
And it gave me such an ache.

I need to let her go,
          I know she will comprehend.
She's lived within my mind,
          Now I have to transcend.

She knows my love is true,
It's to her that I avow.
I think that she will smile,
          To be released for now.

I've not many days left,
I need to live them with verve.
Not tied to our sad past,
          Its freedom we both deserve.

Very beautiful and very wise, dear Jerry.

The letting go with blessings brings peace and does not diminish the essential beauty and sacredness of what has been, of what is and of what will always be.

"Up there" comprehension is much easier I guess!

Love is never ending
Letting go is suspending
a matter of time
in a mortal mind
You will meet again
Peace to you till then

Wise words, Margherita, thank you.

Lori, you're little poem tells it like it is, and with style and grace. Appreciate it.

Concise,
clear,
and most certainly,
correct.

It is time, suthern, to let things lie as they are. Too much is just too much. Appreciate you being here.

Sunshine, thank you for your approval and understanding. If we are meant to meet in some other afterlife, we will, if not, we won't. It is time, past time, to stop writing about her. I think she is breathing a sigh of relief wherever she is.
