Sunspots (my picture)

Dancing into oblivion

Harshly pulled heartstrings
drain my veins of all
life sustaining elements.
Restless I walk under silent trees
letting my feet choose the path.
My voice is attuned to the agonizing leaves
while I sing my song of abandonment.

Sunspots seem to catch my steps
until I focus on the warmth flooding
my empty heart space pond.
Caught in the shaft of sunlight
I allow the refill of my energies.
Sight and hearing restored
I hear the leaves whisper
of their joyful surrendering
to natural transformation.

Nothing can remain as it once was.
You can either fold your wings,
fall and weep over your wounds
or you can dance and pirouette
in sweet embrace with the wind.

The trees echo the leaves’ invitation.
So I raise my arms heavenwards
and upon the floor of thrilled leaves
in midst of empathetic swaying trees
I whirl like the whirling dervishes
to the ever present and all permeating
divine tune of all encompassing love.

Discarding my burden of pain,
lifted into the space of divine harmony
I dance into the oblivion of self
to float upon the sea of soul expansion
where purity reigns in strings of light
keeping me linked to the Source
and firmly anchored in eternal love.

And from this place my beloved
I share my love with you ...

One of your best, Margherita, in my opinion. The leaves. The constant presence of the leaves. Agonizing with your agony. Leaves whispering to you, becoming as one with you. The leaves speak to you of truth and acceptance. A lovely, deep, and special poem.

Margherita, I am sorry you were hurting, but glad for you and for us that you turned it into such a beautiful catharsis.

isn't nature (and your poem) wonderful! We had a perfectly clear and defined spot of sunlight, about 3-4 inches in diameter on the hallway wall outside one of our bedrooms whose source took us about 15 minutes to find.  It turned out to be a pinprick whose diameter was about 1/2 the size of the diameter of a straight pin, in one of the window shades. Even standing right in front of it you could barely see a speck of brightness...yet 10 feet away it was a perfect circle, bright and clear, 3-4 inches in diameter...awesome!!!

Cool write...j.

This is beautiful, Margherita.  I love the way you finished it... remaining linked to the Source of eternal love, and from that place sharing it. Very eloquent.

I enjoyed this very much.

Thank you so much, dear Lori, for your kind comment. I am trying to never forget the highest truth … we are loved beyond our imagination and there is no reason to give in to despair for whatever reason.

Thank you, dear Karen, for your loving appreciation!

Dear Owl, thank you for your compassionate comment and for liking my words.

Dear James, thank you, it was a pleasure!

Wow, dear Jimmy, I love what you report about that spot of sunlight! Oh yes, there are amazing light performances indeed, when we open our eyes! Thank you so much for your loving comment.

Thank you, dear Michael, for your loving comment and for understanding fully the conclusion. That’s it indeed. As I said to Lori above, the divine connection is always present, we only need to be aware of it.

Dear Ebonygirl, I am happy to hear that you have a dancer’s soul. Whether we dance on the parquet or through life it is always pure magic and bliss and … healing. Thank you for your loving comment.

If I may be allowed to use the word gorgeous to describe this poem, it truly is.
Excellent write.

Nothing can remain as it once was.
You can either fold your wings,
fall and weep over your wounds
or you can dance and pirouette
in sweet embrace with the wind.

This starts with such heartache and ends with such celebration... what an absolute gift you've given your readers! *S*

Dance on . . . Dance on . . .

And the next time there is a solar eclipse where you are, take that same walk and dance with the thousands of sunspot eclipses that will appear at your feet.

You wrote a lovely dapple dance, darlin'!
I can see you, dancing among your shadows,
delighting all of the sprites of the woods...

Lovely!

Dear Margherita....dappled light means so much to me also.  It shows the beauty that is both sun and shadow, like joy and sadness, and when combined become spirit centered and knowing.  To put light into the darkness is also what you have done in this poem.  So very inspired!  Hugs!

Dear Karilea, it's a joy to find you in here in appreciation of my visuals. After all you ARE the expert of sunlight! Thank you so much.
