The rule of water;
a persistent force rages forward,
against the stone.

Brick and dirt,
interchangeable parts of the cog,
become white muck.

Intervals of silence,
sound's rapid repetitions of loss,
burst through waves.

Within destruction,
Fame.

Sounds like a heavy metal theme.
Very deep.

I know I'm wrong on this but, hey, I'm old...

I loved the first stanza... a resounding truth there.  Not sure about the ending though...  From my own personal standpoint, within destruction I have always found anonymity.

Enjoyed the read.
