.

Was it you
That just passed
In the diaphanous thought
Of cornflower blue

Or the golden leaves
Falling one by one
On the old wooden bridge
Were they perhaps
The shades of your hair

When I heard what I took
To be a sparrow’s little song
Sensed a scent of perfume
In the autumn air

Was it you
Was it really you

Ah Brave Old Man
Who lights my way
In the waking world
Let me walk in my dreams

I felt the surrealness of this, and the feeling of being caught up in a dream.

So very nice~

A lovely, haunting beauty, John. One of your very best.
