Escaping into indigo
on ribbons stretched through Joshua trees,
lightning's roar from open pipes,
starlit night's pinpricks of fire
in hope's canopy of dark,
souls begging Moon's awakening,
seeking sanctuary,
needing destiny
to place its gnawing vice on hold,
my love for you filled all of me
beyond life's threads already commandeered
by speed's demanding scream.

I can hear the pipes as I sit here, Ice. You wove considerable poetical skill when you made your "Memories Of A Desert Run In 4:4 Time."

Excellent.

Exquisite!  Every word is perfect - the right word and in its place, "le mot juste" as the French say.  A work of art and a wonderful tribute, Charly - although I am now wondering if the love could be for the moon or the scene.

This bubbled up from a life so very long gone by.

Thank you all for the gift of your time and for the kindness of your thoughts.
