Have pity on the bushes
and just say
what you need
to say

You spare none pain
by beating round
and round
and
round

If it’s what you feel
then feel it completely
Own it
entirely

If it’s what you need
then need it freely
Stand by it
firmly

And even if
it changes
all
If it changes
nothing
Or some place
in between

You need to say it
And
I need to hear it
And
no amount of hemming
or hawing
will change that

So have pity on the bushes
for they’ve done you no wrong
And
have respect enough for me
because neither have I

just say
what you need
to say

Oh, superb, Aenea!  I could have done with this poem earlier, but better late than never!  Smiles.

I love this!!!

But I sure hope it's not for me... hemming and hawing gives me time to collect my incoherent thoughts and try to kick them into a semblance of sense. *S*

Great write, girl. Your poetic ponderings show your inner richness and involvement in the questions of transparent communication.

Dear Morningstar,
I guess you're right about not saying what is truly in our head, I'll remember to just say it, enjoyed your poem, ms. e

Owl - Thank you Owl!! Late is definetly better than never..Or so I always say

BluesSerenade - Thank you! I guess it's the unknown factors that scare us so...

Suthern - Thanks, I glad you enjoyed it.  But if it's for you, then it's for me too.  At times I'm quite skilled at both the art of hemming and hawing

Angle4aKing Thanks!  The last couple weeks definetly seemed to be stuffed full monkey chasing weasels...teehee

Ebonygirl- Thank you!  Sometimes it's easier said than do. But then again - aren't most things...

Thank you all very much.
