My family often wondered
why I go to the library
so much.
Was there a secret lover
I was hiding,
a randevu of a love
so sweet? Drawn to stay
hidden with a mysterious
man? Well I
can't say I wasn't smitten by
the words and places
it takes me. I could
smell it's savoring
scent. At times
it brought me joy, sadness,
emptiness, tears and
surprises. I was even
brought down by laughter
that stired others
around us. truly I was
enraptured within a spell.
Why no, I have no such thing
with a man. My only
mystery men is in some
books. As I'm drawn into
many delights hiding
within books,
my beloved library.

Untitled Love.
I was drawn in by the title, and happily surprised by the poetry.
Enjoyed.

Glad to see someone still goes to the library and reads books. In my neighborhood, libraries are shutting down at an alarming rate--or if they have wi-fi--the patrons are on their iPads reading eBooks.

I adore the atmosphere in libraries and I was lucky enough to have a library near my working place for several years and my favorite lunch time was to stroll through the library ...

So I understand exactly what you describe here so beautifully. Magical!

Yes, Al, that's so sad! I just saw yesterday that a library offered 15% discount on ALL the books, trying to encourage people to buy. But in times of crisis culture is sacrificed due to other priorities.

Enjoyed this much!

Love,
Margherita

To JL- thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

To Flash- Yep, at times I go for the computer, but when they shut down I stay till 8pm reading books. Librarians enjoy that I come to read.(taking 10-20 books home)

To Margherita- Happy to know you understand how I felt and glad that you enjoyed it.

I'm in love with libraries, too... grew up mowing through the tiny one in a small town... and now spend most lunch breaks in Houston's main branch. *S*

I love the library too, as a little girl would spend hours there, reading as much as I could.
Enjoyed, ms. e
