Any man that loves
Is a part of God

In the pause I feel
Looking at you
I experience
My own divinity

Space and time
Do not limit me
As all that’s well
And good and worthy
Of being defined as beautiful
Flow through my mortal veins

So let me be awhile
Beneath these stars
I do not see
With the simple eye
Yet know as fact
As being there

To breathe
The air of miracle
Oh how the candle burns

When you have written this you were in a moment of grace, dear John!

This is a pure gem.
