She certainly wasn't an optimist
and you couldn't call her a pessimist.
Her glass wasn't half empty
and it wasn't half full.
It was empty
with a little tear
at the bottom of the glass
and a lipstick print on the rim.
Perhaps she was a realist.

Ahh...simple and to the point, very poignant.  You say much with few words; I always admire that.

I would call this ingenious, dear Ida.

Well done.

Certainly Seeing reality...very well done my friend - short, concise . . . moving.

Great piece!  Sent to my Lady.  Guess She is sadly, a Realist.

"Perhaps she was a realist."

No, if she was a realist she would sve her tears for another time and forget about half empty and half full gasses, she would just persevere.

Sounds like the glass I am drinking from now it keeps leaking....I thought it was sweat off the glass but after reading this I had to look for a tear to make sure....

Thank you all for reading and commenting. I'm trying to get back into writing after a dry spell.
