When the sun rose
and dressed the world in subtle shades of gold
I was dancing
~
When the rains came
and all I knew and loved was completely washed away
I was dancing
~
When the flowers bloomed
and touched the world with vivid scents and soft petals
I was dancing
~
When the world around me crumbled
and I knew that nothing would ever be the same again
I was dancing
~
I'll be dancing
When things are secure
or
When everything is broken

If ever it all changes
or
If it should remain same

I'll be dancing
always
~

A ribbon at a time..." - Emily Dickinson

Oh, Aenean, this is lovely, lovely, LOVELY!  I absolutely LOVE it!

I would have emailed you about the following, only you haven't made emails available to Pipsters - while you have 24 hours to edit, I just thought I would say that I think you meant the line:

"and I knew that nothing would ever the same again"

to be:

"and I knew that nothing would ever be the same again"

If you don't get to edit it in time, or don't want to, it doesn't make your poem any less beautiful, inspiring and absolutely delightful!

"I'll be dancing
always"

As my dad would say:
"Cut a rug, girl."
Enjoyed.

(Did that bubble ever pop?)

OWL - Thank you for the spell check.  I seem to have this unerring ability to forget to type words...  I guess my mind get so excited, it races off and leaves my typing fingers behind!  LOL!

Flash - Amen to that!  Besides why watch someone else's flare and sophistication, when you can corner the market on your own  :0

Margherita - thank you!  I've recently decided that I don't do negative very well...  I know we all have our "down" moments - but I the "up" ones better!

Mrs. E - Thank you kindly indeed!  My personal moto:  If I'm breathing - I'm dancing!

J.L - Thank you!  As a matter of fact - it did!  It got so big before it finally succumbed that I got gum on my eyelashes!  LOL!

My pleasure, Aenea.  Yes, I can well understand.  Your poetry is so bubbly and happy, that I can just picture your poems just bubbling out on your computer screen, trying to catch up with your mind!

Giggles at the conversation JL and you had, about the bubble popping!  And smiles too.

Oh, and I KEEP forgetting to say that I absolutely love your signature quote - I love Emily Dickinson's poetry, but I don't know the one from which that comes.  When I can MAKE time, I am going to google it to enjoy it in full.  The quote is such a perfect match for your happy personality.
