Amarillo by Morning

I took a room
above the Crazy Horse Saloon
where I would spend a few nights
if I got lucky that night,
playing poker with the local
cowboys and rodeo jokers.
Do tell, I wasn't playing so well
that is, until I fell under the spell
of a local cowgirl called Suzie Q,
who was right now whispering in my ear
the sweetest words I wanted to hear;
"When the games are over here's my key,
come up and join me in room two zero three."
Right about then I won the biggest
card game of my entire life,
looks like my trip to Amarillo
will be paying off tonight.
Ye-haw!!!
